Swiss School of Business & Finance is a franchise of HBEC-Switzerland (Hospitality and Business Education Colleges-Switzerland) that specializes in imparting much-needed skill in youth to cope with global job requirements. In Switzerland, the HBEC-Switzerland only works together with schools with certified management quality. In collaboration with partner schools abroad, the HBEC-Switzerland offers a variety of programs, including hospitality management, tourism, business administration, banking, finance, education technology, and foreign languages.

Financial SECTOR of Switzerland

Switzerland is one of the most competitive economies in the world due to its strong added value services, its specialized industries and a motivated and highly skilled workforce of 4.9 million people out of 8.5 million population.

Industry employs 20.1% of the workforce and constitutes 25% of GDP. Switzerland is renowned worldwide for the high quality of its manufactured products, which include watches, motors, generators, turbines and diverse high-technology products. Large exporting groups drive the strong industrial sector.

The service sector represents 71.3% of GDP and employs 76.8% of the workforce. The banking sector alone represents 9.1% of the GDP and is in a moderately good shape despite considerable headwinds. Well-developed and globally competitive sectors, such as banking, insurance, freight and transport, have contributed to the development of international trade across Switzerland.

ABOUT HBEC-SWITZERLAND

Training and proficiency are important factors in engaging and sustaining a country’s economy. For these completing the course, it presents the opportunity of successfully using skills gained during studies in their own country’s business and finance industry. In Switzerland, the HBEC only works together with certified management quality.

DEGREE PROGRAMS

The School offers certificate, diploma, and degree courses in the banking and finance sector with credit transfer facility to the leading Swiss university – the HBEC Switzerland. The Professional Bachelors in Business Management 4-year program shall be spread over eight semesters and a student will be required to earn 148 credit hours to complete this Degree course. The Degree will be titled “Bachelor in Business Management” with following specializations:

  2. Banking & Insurance
  3. Computer Applications
  4. International Trade

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Objectives of Business Management program is to provide education, training and much needed skill-mix to prepare individuals for effective job performance in business and finance industries in domestic and global job markets. On completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Understand theory and practice regarding upcoming trends in global finance and insurance industry;
  2. Study emerging overseas markets and local potential for developing corporate and business management linkages;
  3. Understand the socio-economic impact of the international trade and devising strategies to promote global trade through agriculture and industrial reforms;
  4. Gain sufficient knowledge for promoting the culture of professional industrial approach to computer applications; and
  5. Understand the management functions of finance and economy including human resource management, financial management, supply chain management, marketing and technology-based solutions for qualitative service delivery.

STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM

HBEC-Switzerland offers international exchange program facility to our students to study on-campus in Switzerland for 16-20 weeks during their 6th semester. The students aspiring to spend their final semester in Switzerland would, however, have to pick German language – being the major spoken language in Switzerland.

HBEC-Switzerland is also making an effort to offer similar international exchange program facility to our students to study on-campus in Turkey during 4th semester through its partner institutions.

DISSERTATION / TEACHING PRACTICE

In their final semester, the students are to either undertake a dissertation project, based on primary research OR get engaged in Teaching Practice, if recommended to do so by the Head of Department and approved by The Innoversity / HBEC-Switzerland.

INTERNSHIP

Keeping in view the potential career opportunities of our students, sufficient time is devoted to practical skills through focused and intensive internship programs – exposure visits and during the 7th semester. This would enable the students to learn the ground realities, gain practical knowledge and apply it well at every level of performance in the industry. The student’s career is designed to gradually climb the ladder of growth through compatible knowledge and hands-on experience during the process.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. A student holding HSSC (FA or F.SC) or equivalent with minimum 2nd division or equivalent marks from any recognized institute of Pakistan.
  2. Admissions will be on open merit (marks obtained in the previous examination), entry test and interview or the criteria decided by the respective bodies of the university as per rules in vogue.
